Aaron J. Turnquist, MD is a dedicated urologist practicing a wide variety of both benign and oncological urological conditions. His personal clinical interests are primarily voiding dysfunction, men’s health, medical and surgical stone disease, and kidney and prostate cancer.
Dr. Turnquist has extensive training in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques for stone disease, prostate pathology and oncologic care.
Originally from Minneapolis, he graduated summa cum laude from University of Minnesota in 2014 with a bachelor degree in Microbiology. He participated in research designing novel immune-directed therapy for T-cell lymphoma.
In 2018, Dr. Turnquist graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society as well as the Gold Humanism Honor Society during his tenure. His research interests in medical school included prostate cancer risk stratification based on MRI findings.
Dr. Turnquist completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Connecticut. He developed experience and proficiency in both open and minimally invasive surgical technique in prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer as well as expertise in a wide breadth of andrology, infertility and men’s health concerns.
He joined Greater Hartford Urology Group in 2023 and takes personal pride in his ability to address intimate and sensitive medical conditions with compassion. Outside of work, he enjoys travel, golf, local sports and time with his pets and family.
